Sweet

I gather small joys
in my pockets:
a brilliant leaf,
a smooth stone,
the sound of your voice
carried far.

These lighten me
and I lift from the sidewalk,
float above the city.

All turns to geometry
surrounded by green
and a spider thread
of routes
for earth-bound souls.

None see my flight.
None think
to look up.

After adding clouds
and sunlight
to my treasures,
I’ve yet to land.
