I’ve glued together hours
from the frayed edges of days,
a flash of pinking east
a smudge of faded west:
interspersed, random bits of time
with kinescopic flicker.
God blew a breath
and cleaned the dust
off this looping snippet
of life.
Then I realized
those hazy specks
were people.
Heartfelt and touching poem, Matt. Particularly loved the first stanza’s description of your day and the movement of time. Really nice – K

The last three lines are heart wrenching – hugs
Beautiful and sad…beautifully sad? Brings me so close I almost cry…and I most definitely feel for you. (Sorry, I’ve been bad about blog-reading lately…not uncommon for me…so I must have missed other great ones like this. I’ll have to go back and find them).
Thanks for the kind words. I’ve not been doing very well checking other’s blogs either lately.
Heartfelt and sad poem !
amazing imagery!
I had saved this, and read it again to day…and still love it…tugs the heart strings.
Peace
Siggi
